Summer 2009 New Federal Loan Program Requirement

Effective Summer 2009 Florida International University will participate in the Federal Direct Student Loan Program (DL) replacing the FFELP Loan program, which eliminates borrowing from a Lender for all Federal Stafford, Graduate PLUS and Parent PLUS Loan programs, with the exception of Private Loans.

To receive your loan funds this summer 2009 term, all students must complete a new Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling Interview session online with the U.S. Department of Education at the links below. Please make sure that you complete these 2 (two) requirements as soon as possible to ensure the timely disbursement of your Federal student loans.
