Loan Entrance Counseling is a one-time requirement for all first time borrowers. Loan Entrance Counseling is completed online and depends on your loan type, Federal/Stafford and or/Graduate PLUS. There are separate counseling sessions available.
Stafford Loan Program (Subsidized or Unsubsidized):
Students who are undergraduate or graduate students who borrow only these loan types will complete the Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling Session.
Graduate PLUS Program
Beginning July 1, 2008 all Graduate PLUS loan borrowers who borrow through the GradPLUS program will be required to complete the Graduate PLUS Entrance and Exit loan counseling. This is in addition to the Stafford Entrance Counseling session.
Upon completion of the session, you will receive a confirmation page, please retain it for your records. The Financial Aid Office will receive confirmation of completion electronically within 48 hours.
